Responsibility details are not available.
A set of HäT figures in the large 1:32 scale. Eighteen figures of Napoleonic French light infantry in mixed poses. The larger scale means that far more shows on the figures than in small sets: buttons, cords, straps and the expression on the face. They are supplied unpainted and are therefore just as usable for a tabletop game as for a display case.
The voltigeurs were a company of the French light infantry regiments, intended for skirmishing ahead of the formation. They were chosen from smaller, nimble men who knew how to take cover in the terrain, shoot on their own initiative and change position quickly. Their hallmark was yellow or green trim on the collar and the plume, which set them apart from the chasseurs in the center and the carabiniers on the flank. A dispersed screen of voltigeurs was meant to unsettle the enemy and reveal his formation before the main forces even met.
In a large scale it pays to paint in several layers. First undercoat the whole figure, lay down a flat base for the uniform and only then shade and highlight. Do the face separately and do not hurry, because in 1:32 it is the main carrier of the impression. Leave the colored trim of the voltigeurs until the end, so that it is clean and sharp. Finally stand the figure on a simple base with grass; that settles the large scale.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
