Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:32 scale from HäT. The box holds eight riders in four poses and eight horses, likewise in four poses. The riders have to be seated in the saddle and the plastic is unpainted. The set takes in command figures as well, so it will build the core of a cavalry contingent of the Italian allies of the Punic Wars.
The cavalry of the Italian allies came from the wealthiest classes, because a horse and armor were costly. Compared with the Numidian light horse this was heavier cavalry meant for a head-on clash. After the battle of Cannae some of the southern Italian communities went over to Hannibal, so the same contingents appear on both sides of the war, and even face each other in one formation.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Test the riders in the saddle dry, as on larger figures a poor fit shows more than in a small scale. Paint the saddle cloths and shields in strong colors, as they are the main means of telling the contingents apart. Divide the metal parts into bronze and steel. The command figures are worth more time, because in 1:32 the detail of the equipment stands out.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
