An aftermarket accessory from Reskit for models of the classic, legacy F/A-18 Hornet multirole machine in the A, B, C and D versions, 1:32 scale. The set replaces the plastic landing gear wheels with accurate resin parts. Watch out for a mix-up: this set belongs to the smaller classic Hornet, not to the larger F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, which has different wheels. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detailed improvement to the landing gear.
The Hornet is a carrier-borne multirole fighter operated from aircraft carriers, which calls for sturdy landing gear sized for hard landings. The resin wheels have a crisper tread pattern, faithfully drawn hubs and usually the tire flattening under the weight of the aircraft suggested.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and level the surface; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Apply a primer, paint the tire and the hub separately and bring the tread out with a wash.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. It calls for the matching kit. Paints, glue and accessories are not included in the package.
