1:32 Red jerseys (4 pcs), AERO 21A with AIM-54C Phoenix for F-14B/D (scene 2) is a printed set of four figures of ordnancemen, a trolley and a Phoenix missile.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set made by 3D printing for dioramas from the deck of American aircraft carriers in 1:32 scale. It contains four figures of ordnancemen in red jerseys, a transport trolley of the AERO 21A series and the long-range AIM-54C Phoenix missile. Compared with the first scene it is more numerous, so a whole working party around the trolley can be built from it. Printing can manage the folds of the clothing, the protective gear and the thin fins of the missile without a parting line. The set is not a model of an aircraft.
Handling munitions on the deck of an aircraft carrier is work for a well-drilled party. The long-range AIM-54 Phoenix missile was among the heaviest armament the F-14 Tomcat fighter carried, and it could not be moved without a trolley and a hydraulic lift. The AIM-54C version was the last development form, with more resistant guidance. The ordnancemen work in red jerseys, which on a crowded deck immediately show who is in charge of the munitions.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the face with a scalpel. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Spray the jerseys in a saturated red over a light base. With a group of figures it pays to vary the shades of the trousers and boots slightly, or the scene looks like copies of one person.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
