About product

Airscale Luftwaffe WWII instruments in 1:32

A set of colored decals of instrument dials (not a model of an aircraft) intended for the cockpits of German aircraft of the Second World War in the large 1:32 scale. Airscale is a British brand focused on cockpit accessories. The motifs are common to most Luftwaffe types, so they can be used on the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 or the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka, for example.

What the set contains

The sheet brings faithfully printed instrument dials for flight control, navigation, engine monitoring, oxygen and auxiliary systems, that is altimeters, artificial horizons, turn indicators, compasses, tachometers and more. Colored warning rings, which framed the key instruments in real cockpits, are usually part of it as well.

Use and tips

Paint the instrument panel in a flat dark color, cut the dials out closely and seat them on the places of the instruments. Fix them with a decal softener and, once dry, add a drop of gloss varnish for the impression of glass. The set goes superbly together with photo-etched instrument bezels from the same brand.

Who it is for

  • Modelers of German WWII aircraft in 1:32 scale
  • Builds of the Bf 109, Fw 190, Ju 87 Stuka and other types
  • A faithful rendering of the cockpit without painting the scales by hand
  • Combination with photo-etched bezels and cockpit accessories

The accessory is supplied as a sheet of decals; it is not a model of an aircraft. Paints, varnish and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
