105 mm shells together with their cases in resin. 105 mm Ammo with Cases in 1:35 scale brings an artillery position or the bed of a vehicle to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
Castings of 105 mm rounds complemented by cases, that is artillery ammunition in the form in which it was brought up to the weapon and in which it was left around the position after firing. It is cast in polyurethane, the scale matches 1:35 and the maker is the Italian brand Royal Model.
105 mm was the most common caliber of field howitzers on both sides of the front during the Second World War. Weapons of this class formed the backbone of divisional artillery, fired shells weighing around fifteen kilograms to a range of over ten kilometers, and their crews worked through hundreds of rounds a day during an offensive. The empty cases then piled up around the position into heaps that tell the story of a scene by themselves. The ammunition also varied according to its task, from high-explosive shells to illuminating and smoke rounds.
Wash the castings in warm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off and smooth the cuts. A brass case is imitated with a metallic paint over a dark base, lightened toward yellow. The shells themselves were commonly painted olive and carried a colored band according to the type of filling, which is a rewarding detail even at this scale.
The item consists of cast parts, and all modeling chemicals are bought separately.
