The Aber 170mm anti-tank gun barrel for the Jagdpanzer E-100 (1:35) is a precise turned metal barrel with photo-etched parts, a replacement for the plastic barrel from the box for models of the German heavy tank destroyer E-100. Target kit: Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT a vehicle model but a detailing replacement barrel in 1:35 scale. The set from the Polish company Aber replaces the plastic barrel of the main gun with a finely turned metal part supplemented by photo-etched components. The result is a perfectly round muzzle profile, crisp edges and faithful bores that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The Jagdpanzer E-100 belonged to the German series of standardized tracked chassis E (Entwicklung) from the end of the Second World War. A massive 170 mm anti-tank weapon was planned, set into a fixed casemate on the heaviest of the E series chassis. The vehicle never got beyond the project stage, which makes it all the more attractive a subject for modelers of modern equipment and paper panzers.
Degrease the turned metal parts before gluing. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), or a bonding agent for metal, to put the photo-etched parts together and to join the barrel to the turret. Bend the photo-etched parts on a bending tool or along a blunt edge. A metal barrel holds paint better once a primer suitable for metal has been applied.
This is a detailing accessory, not a complete kit. The basic Trumpeter kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
