A small resin diorama base from the Italian maker Royal Model with a relief of columns, worked out as a square surface roughly four centimeters on a side. One figure or a small scene can be placed on the compact base. It is NOT a kit but a finished scenic base to be completed.
The base with columns gives a figure an architectural setting and an effective background; the columns create a composition with height and a frame for a vignette. The relief of the masonry, the render and the paving allows realistic painting, weathering and the planting of vegetation. The small format is ideal for busts and single-figure vignettes for a competition or a display case.
Wash the casting clean of the remains of mold release agent and sand off the casting residue. Go over the surface with a filler primer and paint with an airbrush and a brush alike; bring the textures out with washes, drybrushing and pigments. Bring the joints to life with static grass, moss or small rubble. The base can be seated into a wooden plinth. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The base is supplied unpainted; figures, paints and vegetation are not included in the package.
