An accessory in 1:35 scale: a British two-gallon fuel can. A small detail for vehicle models and for a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
The British two-gallon fuel can was part of the ordinary equipment of British units. An imperial gallon is roughly 4.5 liters, so the can holds around nine liters. It was carried on fenders and racks, stood in cargo beds, at supply points and at field workshops, and it rarely looked new: dented edges, scuffed paint and rust around the neck belong to it as much as its original color.
The can brings a vehicle model and a smaller scene to life. It works best where it has a reason to be: with the load, with a crew refueling, at a field repair. The scope of the package and the number of pieces are stated by the manufacturer; when building, lay the parts out first and dry-fit them where you want them.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on greasy spots. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Cut excess material and production marks away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest. Lay the paint over a primer so that the shade comes out the same on every piece. If you are building the can as a worn item, start with the base color, add chipping on the edges and only then the rust and dust. Do not overdo it; on an area the size of a fingernail even a small stain stands out. Fit the finished piece onto the model last, so that you do not lose it during the build.
This is an accessory for a build. The vehicle model, figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
