Cast-iron coal stoves in two versions will complete the interior of a house, a cellar or a field billet in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pair of castings of solid-fuel stoves from the period of the Second World War, complemented by a flue, in 1:35 scale. This is equipment that on a diorama reveals at once that a scene is set in winter or in an inhabited space: a pipe led out through a window, a little heap of coal at the foot of the stove and gloves drying beside it.
Cast-iron stoves warmed not only town houses but above all makeshift accommodation: schools turned into billets, bunkers, stations, workshops and the cellars into which the inhabitants withdrew during air raids. The construction was simple and durable, and the fuel became anything that would burn. The flue was led out through a hole in the wall or simply through a broken window, and it is exactly this detail that tends to be most visible on dioramas.
Cast iron is not black but rather dark gray, with a hint of heat discoloration around the door. A combination of graphite polishing on the edges and a rusty shade on the flue, which tends to be thinner and corrodes faster, looks effective. Leave room around the stove for small items: a bucket, a shovel, ashes. You can extend the flue with a piece of tube so that it reaches the wall of the scene.
The stoves are sold as unworked castings that have to be cleaned up and painted.
