The building element East European Wall Section in 1:35 scale is a section of boundary wall with a gate, cast in plaster and resin.
Responsibility details are not available.
This scenic element from the Royal Model brand represents a piece of boundary wall with a gate, of the kind that closed off yards in Russian and Ukrainian small towns. The maker casts it from plaster and resin combined, so that the mass looks like real masonry while the fine parts still stay solid.
The wall works as a background and as a divider of a scene: it splits the surface into street and yard, hides the edge of a base and gives a vehicle or a group of figures its scale. The opening with the gate offers a view inside, so the scene does not look flat. The motif suits the fighting on the Eastern Front between 1941 and 1945, but it will serve a civilian subject without a single soldier just as well.
The plaster and resin parts bond differently: for plaster the maker recommends PVA glue, for resin cyanoacrylate. The surface has to be sealed with a primer before painting, otherwise the plaster drinks the paint unevenly. Render and brick are rendered most faithfully by a dry brush over a darker base, a thin dark coat picks out the joints, and pigment imitates the dust at the foot of the wall.
The element is supplied unpainted; paints and glue are not in the package.
