A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the German three-ton 3,6-36S truck with a mounted field kitchen (Feldküche) of the PmQ600 type in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer MiniArt. The kit captures the vehicle as well as the kitchen equipment and, according to the manufacturer's information, also contains figures and accessories to bring a scene to life. Photo-etched parts and decals raise the fidelity.
Field kitchens were fundamental to the morale and the fighting capability of soldiers. The version on a three-ton chassis (derived from the Opel Blitz type) made it possible to move the preparation of hot food closer to the front and to respond flexibly to a changing situation, unlike towed or fixed kitchens. The vehicle thus combined logistical mobility with the everyday business of feeding the units.
Finish and paint the kitchen equipment and the interior of the body before closing it up; they are exposed to view. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with thin cement for plastic. For the boiler and the sheet-metal parts, metallic shades with a dark wash and traces of soot work well. Weather the bodywork with pigments and dust effects; finish the figures separately and fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
