The loose bricks 1:35 Fired Bricks No. 1 serve for building walls, for filling gaps in ruins and above all for scattering convincing rubble.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of tiny separate bricks in 1:35 scale from the brand Royal Model suits anywhere that masonry is meant to look taken apart. The individual pieces can be laid one by one, so the bond comes out irregular, with bricks pushed out and missing, exactly as on a real ruin.
A fired brick has a clearly fixed size against a human figure, and it is therefore the viewer's most reliable guide to how big a scene is. The shade also differs with the clay and the firing, from ocher yellow through salmon to dark red, and in one wall pieces of different tone alternate as a matter of course, along with overburnt pieces going toward purple. It is exactly this lack of uniformity that makes the difference between a convincing ruin and a flat backdrop.
Lay the bricks out dry and only then fix them with PVA glue thinned with water and a drop of dish soap, dripped in between them; cyanoacrylate glue will leave nothing here but shiny patches. Paint in groups rather than piece by piece: spray the base tone over the whole area and brush the differences in. Suggest the mortar with a light paste worked into the gaps and wipe the surplus off with a damp sponge.
The bricks are unpainted; paints and glue are not enclosed.
