An injection-molded plastic kit of the iconic American Jeep Willys MB in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The model captures the famous quarter-ton off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive that became a symbol of the mobility of the Allied armies. The box includes a driver figure and a set of gear and accessories, among them an optionally fitted .30 caliber machine gun.
The Willys MB was a standardized light 4x4 off-road car, built in large numbers from 1941. Thanks to its low weight, simplicity and reliability it served for reconnaissance, liaison and the transport of people and light loads on practically every front of the Second World War. It became one of the most widespread military vehicles of its day and the model for a whole series of postwar off-road vehicles.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. First finish the chassis and drivetrain, the engine bay and the interior of the vehicle, and only then close the body up. Spraying a primer and airbrushing in an olive green shade are recommended. For a realistic look, a dark wash into the pressings and pigments for mud and dust effects on the chassis and tires are the right choice.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
