A set of 3D-printed resin detail parts from Quinta Studio in 1:35 scale, meant to equip and refine the plastic model of the Japanese Mitsubishi Type 73 Shin light vehicle from the Trumpeter kit. This is not a vehicle model but an add-on set — finer and more accurate replacements and additions (small exterior and interior elements) that the kit either does not have at all or has in a coarser form. You have to own the base Trumpeter plastic kit separately; on models from other makers the set need not fit.
The Type 73 Light Truck is a light off-road utility vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). The newer form with the designation Shin (meaning new) serves to carry personnel and for reconnaissance, signals and other support duties in the field, and is derived from the civilian Mitsubishi off-road vehicle.
The set is conceived as an upgrade for one specific Trumpeter kit — count on having to own the base kit. First wash the uncured print resin residue off the 3D-printed resin parts, separate them carefully from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding. Paint the small parts with an airbrush in thin layers; washes and pigments for mud and dust effects are good for picking out detail and adding wear.
This is not a model but an add-on set of detail parts. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
