Responsibility details are not available.
A complete plastic kit of the King Tiger heavy tank (Sd.Kfz. 182, Tiger II) in 1:35 scale from Takom. The model represents the variant with the Henschel turret and with a molded-on coating of the anti-magnetic paste Zimmerit. The package contains parts in gray plastic, a full interior, a metal gun barrel, photo-etched and clear parts and decals for several marking options. The hatches can be built open or closed.
The King Tiger was the heaviest German tank put into series service in the Second World War. It combined heavily sloped armor with a powerful 88 mm gun and became a feared opponent on both fronts. Compared with the earlier Porsche turret, the Henschel type of turret had a simpler and more robust shape at the front.
First finish and paint the running gear and the interior before you close the hull, so that the maximum of detail remains visible. Assemble the individual track links using the jig supplied. Color transitions, filters and finally mud and dust pigments work splendidly on the texture of the Zimmerit for faithful weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
