Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the German King Tiger (Tiger II) heavy tank with the Henschel turret in its late production version, in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The package corresponds to a machine of the s.Pz.Abt.506 heavy tank battalion in the Ardennes in 1944. It includes the new pattern of tracks and the matching drive sprockets, together with photo-etched parts. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The King Tiger was the heaviest German tank put into series service in the Second World War. Its thick frontal armor and the long 88 mm gun made it a feared opponent at long range, and the price was its high weight and fuel consumption. Vehicles of late production received a modified running gear; some machines of the s.Pz.Abt.506 battalion carried the new pattern of tracks and eighteen-tooth drive sprockets. The tank was deployed, among other actions, during the Ardennes offensive.
First finish the running gear, the wheels and the tracks, and only then paint the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down the base camouflage with an airbrush and bring up the transitions between shades, the shadows and the streaking with washes; complete the mud and dust effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower part of the hull. Suggest worn paint with the chipping technique.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
