Injection-molded plastic kit of the German medium tank Panzer IV in the Ausf.H version from the late production of the Nibelungenwerk plant, in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. The model is conceived as a kit with an interior and contains photo-etched and clear parts and individual link tracks. MiniArt releases this subject in several production subvariants, so check the exact edition and production date against the manufacturer's information for this item.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV was the most widespread German medium tank of the Second World War, and in its Ausf.H form it was among its most numerous versions. It was powered by a Maybach gasoline engine and the main armament was the long 75mm KwK 40 gun, capable of destroying enemy tanks too. Late machines are recognized by their additional side and turret anti-shrapnel shields (Schürzen) and by simplified production details.
Build a model with an interior in stages: paint the inside of the hull and the turret first, then close up the armor. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the fine photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue, and assemble the individual link tracks and fit them with a slight sag. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush; a late war combination of three shades is typical. A coat of Zimmerit, washes and pigments (mud and dust effects) will give it realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
