A resin set of precisely cast road wheels for models of the Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank in its late Ausf. H to J versions in 1:35 scale. The set is shaped for one particular series of kits of this tank and replaces the plastic wheels with castings that have sharper detail on the disc, the rubber tire band and the bolts. It is an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers.
The road wheels of a tracked tank are steel discs with a rubber tire band; they carry the hull on the track. They are not the pneumatic tires of a wheeled vehicle, so they show no load flattening and keep their circular shape. Late Pz.Kpfw. IV tanks used wheels in slightly different patterns, and this set is aimed at the Ausf. H to J versions.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin castings with warm soapy water. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a knife and clean up the surfaces; sand with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the rubber tire band dark gray rather than pure black and the disc in a metal shade; finish the running gear before you close up the hull and add washes and pigments for dust and mud.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
