The photo-etched set 1:35 Scraped Zimmerit Jagdtiger - Part 1 replaces smooth armored walls with a faithful texture of the anti-magnetic coating with period damage. The first of two parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is made of photo-etched brass sheet and reproduces the anti-magnetic coating as it looked after a few months with a combat unit: with peeled edges, scrapes and exposed armor. The first part covers some of the surfaces of the heavy tank destroyer in 1:35 scale; the second part is a separate item.
The Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B was the heaviest German fighting vehicle series-produced in the Second World War. On the lengthened chassis of the Tiger II it carried a 12.8 cm gun in a fixed casemate, which could destroy practically any Allied tank at long range. A weight of around seventy tons troubled the transmission and the running gear, though, and a number of machines were lost without the enemy hitting them. It was produced from the middle of 1944 and only a few dozen came into being.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers. Degrease the surfaces before gluing them on, form them over a bending tool or an ordinary ruler and fix them with cyanoacrylate glue in small sections. Brass calls for a base coat, otherwise the paint peels off along with your fingerprints.
The package contains neither the vehicle nor glue; the set serves to modify a model already obtained.
