The Soviet T-34/85 mod. 1944 – add-on set, part 2 in 1:35 scale follows on from the first part of the line and brings further resin improvements for this tank.

The Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in the mod. 1944 version gets a second helping of improvements in this resin set. The Italian brand Royal Model offers it as a continuation of the first part, with which it forms a whole; each is sold separately. A model of the tank is not included; the set serves to convert and refine a kit you already have.
The 85 mm gun in a roomier three-man turret turned the T-34 from a fast but lightly armed vehicle into an opponent that could deal with heavier German machines as well. The 1944 version was built in enormous numbers and the plants differed in the castings of the turret, the hatches and the attachment of accessories, which is why it pays to work from a period photograph on a model.
First check dry whether the resin parts follow the shape of the particular turret; small differences between kits are dealt with by sanding. Degrease the castings before gluing and glue in spots, so that you can still align a part. Soviet green takes pronounced brightening of the surfaces and final wiped chipping on the edges; a metallic sheen on the grab handles and the hatch comes from rubbing with a graphite pencil.
The kit of the tank, paints and glue are not included.
