An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-55A medium tank in its early Mod. 1965 form in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. This is a very rich kit with hundreds of parts, a fully detailed fighting and driver's compartment, the V-55 engine, photo-etched parts and individual track links. Clear parts and decals for several marking options are included as well.
The T-55A was a Soviet medium tank, the development continuation of the proven T-54/T-55 family. The T-55A version introduced anti-radiation protection for the crew; the early Mod. 1965 vehicles were built without the bow machine gun. The tank combined a low silhouette, heavy armor and a 100 mm gun, and it became one of the most widespread tanks of the Cold War.
Because of the full interior it is worth planning the work in sections: first finish and paint the inside of the hull and the engine, and only then close up the armor. Glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Leave the hatches open so that the exposed interior stands out. Washes and pigments work well for mud and dust weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
