The rear transmission cover of the T-34/76 tank in 1:35 scale as a photo-etched metal part that replaces the coarser plastic version.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small but very visible modification: a metal cover in the rear of the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank at 1:35 size. It is the rear that gives a model away, because everyone who walks around a display case looks at it. Thin sheet gives the mesh and the rims the right thickness. The model of the tank is obtained separately.
The T-34 had both the engine and the transmission at the rear, which shortened the power transfer and saved weight. The rear wall of the hull was therefore removable and carried a large cover under which the transmission could be pulled out and replaced. The appearance of that area changed several times during wartime production, depending on the plant and on how far manufacture was being simplified. On surviving machines it is the rear that tends to be the most patched, battered and blackened by exhaust gases.
Cut the original plastic cover off carefully and level the surface with a sanding block, otherwise the new part will not seat. Once the photo-etch is glued on, press it down gently with a flat tool until the glue has dried. Then put rust and soot shades around the exhausts, where they are more in place than anywhere else.
Sold as a separate metal accessory without paints or glues.
