This set supplies a model of the American heavy tractor with the fine elements an injection mold cannot manage. It targets the small hardware, the grilles and the thin sheets. You obtain the vehicle itself separately. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.
The Dragon Wagon was a pair: the armored M26 tractor and a lowboy semi-trailer for a load of around forty tons. The tractor had an armored cab for the whole crew, all-wheel drive and a pair of powerful winches with which even a tank that could not move itself could be hauled out. A large-displacement twelve-cylinder engine gave enough power for the combination to tackle even waterlogged terrain. The crews moved destroyed and damaged machines to collection points, where it was decided whether to repair them; without this work Allied tank units would have lost vehicles far faster. Later a lightened version without the armored cab was built as well.
The combination has a lot of open places that can be seen into, so finish from the bottom up and leave access to the winches until the last moment. Metal steps and grab handles hold best when you make a shallow bed for them in the plastic. Dried mud belongs above all on the semi-trailer and on the underside of the cab.
The model to carry them, the paints and the glues all have to be bought separately.
