1:35 US pioneer tools kit (a resin set of tools, Firma49)

A set of American pioneer tools, that is the tools carried on the bed and the sides of vehicles, cast in resin by high-resolution 3D printing. It replaces the coarser workshop pieces from plastic kits with crisply printed parts that bring the surface of American vehicles and tanks in 1:35 scale to life. Firma49 is a Czech manufacturer of modeling accessories.

Use

  • Superdetailing the side panels and the bed of American vehicles and tanks.
  • A replacement for the softly shaped tools from the original kit.
  • Suitable for dioramas as well as for models on their own.

Usage tips

Wash the residue of uncured print resin off the parts and separate them from the 3D print supports carefully. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; bring the wooden handles and the metal surfaces to life with glazes, pigments and washes. Protect your airways while sanding.

American pioneer tools carried on vehicles: shovels, pickaxes, axes and similar pieces for detailing in 1:35 scale.

Resin 3D-printed parts tend to be crisper and finer than the softly shaped tools from the original kit.

With cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); resin will not bond with ordinary cement for plastic.
