An extensive injection-molded plastic kit of the American experimental T29E3 heavy tank in 1:35 scale. The model from Hobby Boss is one of the richly broken-up kits with a high parts count and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The T29 was an American heavy tank developed at the end of the Second World War as an answer to the German heavy tanks. It carried a powerful 105 mm gun in a large turret and had massive armor. The T29E3 version differed mainly in modifications to its sighting and fire control equipment. The tank never reached series production or combat, remaining at the stage of test vehicles.
Because of the high parts count, plan the build in subassemblies; put the running gear and the tracks together before closing the hull. Glue the plastic with liquid cement and sand the joints carefully. Primer, a uniform olive shade applied with an airbrush and fine washes with pigments for dust and mud weathering are all recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
