An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bronco. The package holds four female figures of members of the Allied armed forces and auxiliary corps of the Second World War, each in a different period uniform. It is an unusual figure set that brings a female element into a collection as well.
In the Second World War women played an important role in the Allied armies, both in the auxiliary corps and in combat support. The set covers a member of the US women's army corps, a member of the American voluntary auxiliary service, a servicewoman of the Royal Air Force and a member of the British auxiliary territorial corps serving with anti-aircraft artillery. The uniforms match the various corps and roughly the years between 1940 and 1944.
Separate the figures from the sprue, clean up the mold parting lines and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. Female figures reward careful painting of the faces and of the uniform details, which differ between the individual corps in both cut and color. Build the paint up in layers and add fine shadows in the folds.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
