This is not a model of the vehicle but a set of color three-dimensional decals which, according to the box, cover the interior as well as the external details of the vehicles of the ZIL-131 series. The Ukrainian brand Kelik prints decals with relief onto a carrier backing, so after they are laid down both the raised detail and the colors are visible. The box states their use for kits in general, not for one particular number; that does not mean, though, that the set will fit everywhere, so check the dimensions before gluing.
The ZIL-131 is a Soviet truck with drive to all three axles, introduced in the 1960s as the standard medium-class army vehicle. It carried troops as well as cargo, towed weapons and served as a chassis for dozens of bodies, from tankers to radio stations and rocket launchers. The cab has a simple instrument panel with a few large gauges, so a color print on it comes out well. The vehicles entered the inventories of many armies and some of them serve to this day in civilian use.
Spray the parts with the base color first and let them dry perfectly, because a decal will not settle onto paint that has not dried through. Degrease the surfaces before laying them down. Transfer the decals with tweezers and apply pressure with a cotton swab from the center to the edges, so that no air bubble is left. With the external features care is needed so that the edge of the backing does not stay visible; a thin coat of flat varnish once it has dried will help. You will find the application procedure in the enclosed instructions.
The set holds decals only. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
