A Red Fox Studio display base intended for models in 1:48 scale. The subject is an asphalt surface in the Type 3 version measuring 300 x 230 mm. The base is already finished with a relief, three-dimensional surface effect, so it provides a realistic setting without having to build a diorama from scratch.
The base is a light board of extruded PVC roughly 5 mm thick with a pre-printed, color-finished surface in a satin sheen. The surface resists UV light and will take further work. The Type 3 version differs from the other asphalt bases in the drawing and the layout of the asphalt surface.
This is a display base on its own. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
