A set of pre-cut masks intended for painting the wheels of a model of the French Citroën Traction passenger car in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an aid for painting. The boundary between the tire and the rim is the hardest place on a wheel to mask, because it is a circle that never comes out exactly right freehand. A pre-cut mask sets it out at the first attempt.
Lift the mask with tweezers and apply it with a dry hand, because grease from your fingers worsens the adhesion. Once it is stuck down, press the edge with a blunt tool so that paint does not creep underneath. Spray the lighter shade of the rim first, mask it once dry and only then the dark tire; the opposite order gives a worse result. Remove the masks as soon as the paint has flashed off. A tire is not black but rather a very dark gray.
Do not throw away the leftovers of the sheet; they come in useful for masking small areas such as lights or frames.
The set contains masks only. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
