A set of modeling decals in 1:48 scale with the markings of de Havilland Mosquito aircraft flown by Czechoslovak airmen in the ranks of the RAF during the Second World War. It is not an aircraft model: it is an add-on set of decals to be applied to a plastic Mosquito kit of the matching scale. The set offers several color and marking schemes.
The decals make it possible to build a Mosquito in the authentic form of specific machines and crews, including national insignia, codes and personal markings. The subjects are various versions of the Mosquito, from night fighters to other variants, on which Czechoslovak airmen served with RAF squadrons. The set is ideal for modelers interested in Czechoslovak airmen abroad.
First finish the model and lay a gloss varnish over the places for the decals: on a gloss base no silvering edges appear. Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing into place and gently soak up the excess water. Once it is dry, it pays to use a decal softener so that it settles into the details, and finally to take a flat or satin varnish over everything.
This is a standalone set of decals. The aircraft model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
