Colored three-dimensional parts for the cockpit of the F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale, cut for GWH kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tomcat was built as a carrier fighter with a long reach: its task was to intercept an opponent far ahead of the fleet, and for that it needed a powerful radar and long-range guided missiles. They were worked by the second crew member, who sat behind the pilot and had an entirely different set of instruments in front of him. The variable-geometry wing spread and swept back in flight according to speed; on a cramped deck it could be folded even further aft.
A sheet of colored three-dimensional interior parts with a raised relief, that is, the instrument panels, the side consoles and other cabin surfaces. The dials and the lettering are printed in color, so the laborious brush painting of small details falls away. The parts are cut for GWH kits in 1:48 scale, and the extent of the sheet is given in the manufacturer's instructions. A second set of the same name exists under a different part number, so compare the parts against your kit before you start.
For the builder of modern carrier aircraft who wants both cabins legible and finished in a single evening. The set is an accessory to a kit and does not take the place of the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
