An accessory cockpit set for a model of the American carrier fighter F-4B in 1:48 scale, in the extended release with a higher level of detail. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement for the whole inside of the cockpit. The parts are made by 3D printing, so they carry sharp edges, thin walls and fine controls that an injection mold cannot manage. The manufacturer states on the box which kit it is matched to.

Building and painting tips

Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the remainder down; do not break them off. The printed material is hard and brittle, so work without pressure and protect your airways when sanding. It is bonded with super glue. Always dry-fit the cockpit in the fuselage first: printed parts tend to be accurate, but the plastic kit may not be. Finish and paint the whole before you close the fuselage.
