Eduard F/A-18C exterior 1:48 (photo-etched set)

This is NOT an aircraft model but an aftermarket detail set. These are photo-etched brass parts meant to improve the outer details of a plastic model of the F/A-18C Hornet fighter in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched parts replace or complement elements that injection-molded plastic cannot render finely enough.

What the set contains

The set brings fine outer details of thin brass sheet that refine the surface of the model, for instance small covers, grilles, reinforcements and other exterior elements. The parts are in the bare brass color, so they are primed and painted before gluing. The exact contents are covered by the enclosed assembly instructions.

Fitting tips

• Snip the parts out of the fret, separate them and shape them as needed according to the instructions.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate; on small areas the smallest amount will do.
• Before gluing, degrease the brass and prime it for a good grip of the paint.
• Work with a sharp knife and tweezers, as the parts are small.
