A resin set of accessories from the Czech manufacturer Firma49 in 1:48 scale. It contains small castings of Soviet canteens used by the soldiers of the Red Army in the Second World War. It is not a kit but a detail in its own right for figures, vehicles and dioramas. Given the small size of the parts it suits more experienced modelers.
The Soviet canteen was part of the personal equipment of every soldier. An elongated sheet-metal vessel with a screw cap, usually in a cloth cover and with a loop for the belt, it accompanied the infantry and vehicle crews throughout the war.
Carefully wash the small parts free of mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks (with respiratory protection). Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once the primer is sprayed on, shades of steel or aluminum on the vessel and khaki to olive tones on the cover work well; a fine wash will bring out the detail.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
