About product

German WWII Jerrycans and Oil Drums (1:48)

This is not a vehicle model but an accessory set for a diorama. The injection-molded plastic set holds German field jerrycans and transport drums of the Second World War period in 1:48 scale. The parts will serve to fill out and bring to life a scene around a tank, a vehicle or a supply point.

Use

  • Filling out a diorama with German equipment in 1:48 scale
  • Supply and fuel points, the load beds of vehicles
  • Laying jerrycans and drums out around armor or artillery
  • Combining with figures and other scene accessories

Building and painting tips

Cut the parts off the sprue frames and glue them with cement for plastic. The jerrycans and the drums come into their own once they are painted with an airbrush or a brush, followed by picking the edges out with a dry brush and weathering with washes and pigments, which imitate rust, dust and spilled fuel.

Who the set is for

  • builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:48 scale
  • modelers of German Second World War equipment
  • anyone who wants to bring a scene to life with small accessories

The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
