A 3D printed detail accessory from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The set represents the underslung gun pod with the large-caliber Mk 101 cannon that was carried under the fuselage of the German Henschel Hs 129B ground-attack aircraft. It is an accessory, not a model in its own right — to use it you need the base plastic Hs 129B kit from Takom in 1:48 scale.
The Henschel Hs 129B was a specialized Luftwaffe ground-attack and anti-tank aircraft of the Second World War. To destroy armored vehicles, pods with large-caliber cannon were carried under the fuselage; the 30 mm Mk 101 cannon was one of the first of them. 3D printing makes it possible to capture the shape of the pod, the barrel and the small details faithfully, which would be hard to achieve in injection-molded plastic, and so it extends the armament of the base model with a striking anti-tank accessory.
Separate the parts carefully from the supports with a sharp knife and sand the cut faces down. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wash the parts before painting and spray a primer; the thin barrel and the small details will come out after airbrushing and light weathering. Protect your airways when sanding resin material.
The accessory requires the matching base kit, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not part of the delivery either.
