A conversion set from CMK that converts the Westland Lysander kit in 1:48 scale into the special Mk.III (SD) version for secret operations. It contains 3D-printed resin parts for the exterior and the interior and decals for four aircraft. The set is intended for the Airfix kit; it is not a stand-alone model, but a conversion accessory.
The Westland Lysander was a British liaison and observation aircraft with outstanding short take-off and landing (STOL) qualities. The Special Duties (SD) version was used for daring night flights on which it dropped and picked up agents and supplied resistance groups on the continent. Its recognition features were usually an auxiliary drop tank and a ladder by the cockpit for quick boarding.
Wash the printed parts free of uncured resin residue, remove the print supports and sand with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Follow the instructions during the conversion and keep checking the fit against the plastic parts. Apply the decals over a gloss coat.
This is a conversion resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
