Kelik Me 262 A-1 - 3D interior decals (1:48) is a set of raised color decals for the cockpit of the first jet fighter. It is a detail accessory for a matching plastic model, not a kit. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set brings 3D color decals for the cockpit interior of the Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a fighter. It is neither a model nor its parts but relief decals with a raised layer that replace the laborious painting of the instrument panel, the side consoles, the belts and other cockpit details. The color and three-dimensional detail reaches a level that is hard to achieve by hand. The set is prepared for a matching plastic model of the Me 262 in 1:48 scale. The target kit is Tamiya.
The Messerschmitt Me 262, nicknamed Schwalbe, was the first mass-produced jet fighter in the world to be committed to combat. A pair of turbojet engines gave it a marked advantage in speed; it served as a fighter and as a fighter-bomber in the closing stage of the Second World War.
Detail the cockpit parts before closing the fuselage up. Separate the individual motifs, dip them briefly in lukewarm water and slide them into place; because of the raised layer a mild decal softener helps the film to settle into the corners. Do not go over the glossy dials with a matte coat, so that they keep the effect of glass.
This is a stand-alone cockpit detail accessory. The plastic model and paints are not included in the package.
