This is not a model of an aircraft but a metal detail accessory for a kit of the Soviet MiG-25 interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set is intended for versions other than the PD/PDS and contains a turned pitot tube. Turned metal has a faithful shape and above all greater strength than the thin and easily broken plastic part on the tip of a model.
The MiG-25 was a Soviet high-speed interceptor and reconnaissance aircraft capable of flying far above the speed of sound. It was designed to intercept high-flying targets, and its reconnaissance variants took photographs from great altitudes. The individual versions differed in the nose, the radar and the equipment.
You cut off the plastic pitot tube and replace it with the metal part, ideally into a pre-drilled hole. Glue with cyanoacrylate. Fit the tube at the end of the build so that it does not get bent during handling and clear coating. Degrease the metal before painting.
The accessory needs a base kit; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
