The Mi-171Sh belongs to the broad family of transport helicopters derived from the Mi-8, which the Western designation lists under the name Hip. It is a large twin-engine machine with a roomy cargo cabin, a five-blade main rotor and fixed wheeled landing gear. The versions of the Mi-171 series were built above all to carry troops and materiel and they have stub pylons on the sides of the fuselage.
A helicopter of this size has several places that decide the result:
On helicopters the transitions on the fuselage are easily wiped out by a heavy layer of paint, so apply it thinly and rather in two passes. The large flat areas of the sides also show every step left by an insufficiently sanded joint mercilessly, so it pays to check them once more against the light before painting. The particular color versions and marking schemes are described in the manufacturer's instructions, which also state which parts belong to which version.
The model will please the builder who enjoys modern helicopters and a large scale. Paints, glue, filler and decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
