It is not an airplane model but a miniature boarding (access) ladder, which will complete a diorama or an airfield stand beside a model of the General Dynamics F-16A/C Fighting Falcon fighter. The set is intended for more experienced modelers and typically combines resin and fine photo-etched parts.
The General Dynamics (today Lockheed Martin) F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American single-engine multirole fighter. The F-16A version was the original single-seat form, while the F-16C was the modernized variant with newer avionics. The high-set cockpit with its bubble canopy calls for an access ladder hooked onto the side of the fuselage for the pilot to climb in.
Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks; fold the photo-etched parts on an edge and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Once painted in a metal or gray color, the ladder stands out when brought out with a wash and light weathering; small rubs of paint also look realistic.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
