Eduard Space 1:48 Spitfire Mk.IX - seat belts is a small Eduard detail set with steel, shaped seat belts for the pilot's seat, for a realistic cockpit on a model of the British fighter. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Eduard in the Space line contains steel, shaped and color-printed seat belts for the pilot's seat of a particular Spitfire Mk.IX kit in 1:48 scale. The steel material holds its shape, so the belts can be bent faithfully and draped over the seat. It is a quick and striking cockpit detail. This is not a kit but an accessory.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most successful and most widespread variants of the famous British fighter of the Second World War. Fitting the more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine gave it back the edge over the German fighters of the day, and it served in many theaters.
Separate the belts from the carrier fret, shape them gently with tweezers and glue them in with super glue. Steel holds a realistic sag better than paper or an etch in soft metal. The color print only needs a light weathering, if any, to unify it with the cockpit.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
