A CMK resin set of control surfaces in 1:48 scale for a model of the British TSR-2 aircraft from the Airfix kit lets the movable surfaces be fitted in a realistically deflected position.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. It replaces the production-shaped control surfaces of a plastic model of the British TSR-2 supersonic bomber and reconnaissance aircraft from Airfix in 1:48 scale and makes it possible to show them deflected, as on a machine at rest. The parts are cast from resin and are intended for more experienced modelers who want to give their model a lively, realistic look.
The BAC TSR-2 was a British twin-engined supersonic aircraft designed in the nineteen sixties for low-level strike and reconnaissance flight. Despite its excellent technical figures the program was canceled in 1965 and it never entered service, so it is among the legendary what-ifs of the Cold War.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand with protection of the airways. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before fitting, try the surfaces dry and match their angles to one another. Match the painting with the rest of the model and bring out the gaps left by the deflection with fine shading.
The set is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
