A set of two 3D-printed resin figures of US Air Force pilots in a seated pose, in 1:48 scale, from Reskit. The figures are designed to fill the cockpit of an F-111 model and give it a human dimension. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory set of figures for F-111 models in this scale.
The General Dynamics F-111 was an American two-seat combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. The crew sat side by side in a cockpit with an escape module. Figures of seated pilots let you show the machine with a manned cockpit, which markedly raises the realism of the finished model.
Carefully release the resin figures from the print supports, wash off the residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Paint the flight suits, helmets and life vests with acrylics and bring out the recesses with glazes. Dry-fit the figures before you close the cockpit to check that they sit correctly in the space.
The set is an accessory for F-111 models, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, without glue and paints.
