The Trumpeter 1:700 USSR Minsk is a plastic kit of the Soviet aircraft-carrying cruiser of the Kiev class in 1:700 scale.

Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ship Minsk in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The hull can be built either as a full hull (for the stand) or in a waterline configuration. The box contains the hull and superstructure parts, decals and instructions. The particular parts count and the number of schemes are given on the box.
Minsk was the second ship of the Soviet Kiev class, combining the superstructures of a missile cruiser with an angled flight deck for VTOL aircraft and helicopters. Units of this class were in service with the Soviet Navy from the second half of the 1970s and represented a distinctive type of so-called anti-submarine cruiser with an air group.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Consider whether you are building the full-hull or the waterline version before you glue the bottom on. The recesses of the decks and the superstructures come out well after a base coat, airbrushing and highlighting with a wash. Fine railings can be added from aftermarket photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
