A kit of the German 7.62 cm PaK 36(r) antitank gun in 1:72 scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation 7.62 cm PaK 36(r) was carried by a German antitank gun that came about by rebuilding Soviet divisional guns of 76.2 mm caliber captured on the Eastern Front. The letter r in brackets marked captured Russian equipment in German nomenclature. In the rebuild the gun received a revised chamber for a more powerful round and a muzzle brake, thanks to which the original general purpose gun became a weapon able to hit well armored targets too. The guns were used in field positions on their own carriage and built into self-propelled chassis alike.
The model is supplied as a kit to be glued and painted. In 1:72 scale the gun is tiny, so the barrel, the shield, the wheels and the parts of the carriage make up small pieces that are handled with tweezers. The range of the set, the sequence of assembly and any variants are shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Fit the parts together dry first and only then glue them; on a small model every deviation shows in how the carriage beds down and how the gun stands. Cut surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder away, so that the edge does not break off. While gluing, keep checking the barrel from the side and from above, so that it does not end up turned. Before painting, wash and degrease the model and lay the paint on in thin coats, otherwise the shallow relief will be lost in this scale.
A kit is supplied. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
