This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory — it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings carrying a sharper rendering of the tire tread, hubs and brakes. The tire and the hub are usually arranged so that they can be masked and painted separately. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want a more faithful landing gear.
The A-6 Intruder is an American carrier-borne all-weather attack aircraft valued for its load and its range. The EA-6 Prowler, a specialized electronic warfare machine, was developed from it. Both types, flown from the decks of aircraft carriers, had a sturdy landing gear made for hard deck landings.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent left from the mold, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Resin is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and dust them lightly; choose the hubs according to the particular aircraft. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
