Airfix 1:72 BAC Jet Provost T.3/T.4 is an injection molded plastic kit of the British jet trainer with the option of building either version.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection molded plastic kit from the British maker Airfix in 1:72 scale captures the classic Jet Provost jet trainer. The package makes it possible to build the T.3 variant or the more powerful T.4 and offers markings for the Royal Air Force. The molds are of modern design with a finely engraved surface.
The Jet Provost was the basic jet trainer of the Royal Air Force, on which generations of British pilots went through their training. The T.3 version came about at the end of the 1950s; the newer T.4 of the early 1960s received a more powerful Viper engine and offered a better rate of climb and better performance, while remaining very similar to the T.3 variant in outward shape. The aircraft was marked by side-by-side seats and a good view from the cockpit.
The build is friendly even to less experienced modelers. We recommend assembling and painting the cockpit first and only then closing up the fuselage. For the striking training colors an airbrush and good masking of the boundaries between colors work well. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish and unify the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss clear varnish according to the subject.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
