Plastic kit of the German fighter aircraft Bf 109G-2 in 1:72 scale from the Hobby Boss Easy Assembly range. The kit has a low part count and a simplified design with large combined parts (the lower wing and fuselage molded as one piece), so it can be built quickly. It includes a clear cockpit part and decals for two color schemes.
The Bf 109G-2 belonged to the early sub-series of the G (Gustav) version, which brought the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine to the Messerschmitt fighter. The G-2 was unpressurized and served on numerous fronts from 1942 onward. The aircraft remained one of the most numerous fighters of its time, and its basic design carried through the entire war.
Thanks to the large parts, the build is undemanding; even so, we recommend cleaning up and filling the joints. Use a thin liquid modeling cement for the plastic, and apply a primer before painting. The camouflage on the upper surfaces looks great with an airbrush, and the panel lines can be highlighted with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
